Soo Youn Kim is Co-Head of the Korea Desk, a team specifically designed to assist Korean clients.
She is specialises in M&A and cross-border transactions and she assists leading Korean investors with their investment projects in Europe/Italy in M&A, real estate, energy/infrastructure, life sciences and fashion/consumer products sectors, advising on the full cycle of investment operations from preliminary analysis, deal structuring, due diligence, execution and post-deal matters. In addition, she assists leading Korean companies with various corporate/commercial, employment, tax, disputes/litigation, IP and antitrust matters in Italy.
Soo Youn re-joined the firm in 2021 after having worked for several leading international law firms, following a five-year experience as in-house counsel of a leading multinational company in England.
Soo Youn obtained a degree in Law from the City University of London in 2003 after having obtained a BA in Art from Seoul National University (South Korea) in 1995. She completed the Legal Practice Course at College of Law (Guildford, UK).
She is dual-qualified as a lawyer in Italy and the UK: she was admitted to the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2010 as solicitor and was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2019.
Soo Youn speaks Korean (mother tongue), English and Italian.
